Beggars: What we should all give.

Despite seeing beggars / drunks / homeless people / druggies on every corner of most ‘lower-class’ places in Hong Kong, I’m surprised to say I haven’t seen a single in the streets of England. Call me a beggar too, but I don’t think I’ve ever donated a cent / dollar / chip / knife to one of these chaps; nope, not even when with a girl I’m trying to impress.

Regardless, if one feels they must donate, they should not donate money but instead:

  • Cigarettes. Ease their pain a little, with a nice stick of nicotine.
  • A bottle of Tequila. Again, being homeless is hard. Get your fellow homeless man a bottle of Tequila, have a shot with him and enjoy the sun. If you give him / her money, they’re going to ask for more so that they can take a bus to the nearest liquor store. And because you just spent your last bit of change buying Tequila, you won’t have any spare for his / her bus ride. And you don’t want to have an argument with a highly-regarded homeless man / woman (with a knife)
  • A knife. Homeless people always get robbed. They have a big hat full of coins, and are usually too weak to defend themselves. Thus they become an easy target. Give them a knife, and they can just about fend off attackers without making as much noise as guns.
  • KFC. KFC solves everything. What came first? The chicken or the egg? The Colonel did and made KFC. Give the homeless person a bucket of fresh juicy KFC, and the world is your Oyster.
  • A Blackberry with a one year subscription. We’re all about that business. What makes a homeless man any different? He’s out on the streets doing his business too and making money like everyone else. Give him a Blackberry and help ease his business-related stress a little.
  • Condoms (homeless males only). It’s time to all help in preventing the spread of HIV. Give your homeless friend a pack of condoms. Teach them how to use it too; they’re probably homeless because they never managed to get a proper education, and so probably don’t know how to use a condom.
  • This beggar is speaking it for real.

    Beggar 1

    Robot Sex

Maybe I should start carrying a bag with it all the above when going out and trying to impress a girl on our first date.

An example of the corrupt police force
    Filed under Others

Like I always say, the police force is the single biggest corrupt gang in the world. I’ll never understand why they didn’t taser him as well…

A paraplegic man was pulled from his wheelchair by Peel police, dragged to a cruiser and charged with causing a disturbance because he had urged them to help a stabbing victim, a court heard yesterday.

“It was very violent,” recalled Stephen Miller, who witnessed the chaotic scene from just a few metres away as he tended to the victim by applying pressure to the stab wound.

Moments later, Miller said, he too was yanked away from the victim, an old high school friend, pulled into a cruiser and charged with the same offence.

Ontario Court Justice Peter Wilkie was told that on July 29, 2005, at about 6 p.m., police were called to a large building complex on Glen Erin Dr. in Mississauga after reports of a stabbing.

Miller, a 20-year-old political science student at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, said he had just finished work and stopped by the complex to see some friends. He was standing outside when he heard someone yell and saw his friend, Germaine Holder, collapse onto a bench.

“I immediately ran over and saw something red dripping — gushing, actually — and saw there was a wound to his abdomen,” Miller recounted to his lawyer, Jason Bogle. “I took off my T-shirt and applied pressure.”

As Miller pushed down on the wound, he called 911, recalling how he felt scared but tried to remain calm for his friend. But he said his fear intensified when he spotted the first officer on the scene, Const. Jason Sandilands.

Miller testified he and others from the complex, including Holder, have long had a “negative” relationship with Sandilands, who he said routinely harassed them by asking for identification for no apparent reason. Miller said he had even lodged a complaint against the officer but it didn’t go anywhere.

As his friend lay bleeding beneath him, Miller said he called over to Sandilands to come and help, but the officer was just “standing there, doing absolutely nothing.”

Moments later, Garrett Mannings, 24, who is paralyzed from the waist down, joined the small group of people forming near the victim.

Mannings, along with some of the other building residents, yelled at Sandilands to do something, but the officer simply replied, “Oh well, if he dies, he dies,” Miller testified.

“Sandilands took a step behind Mannings, took his shoulders and threw him to the floor,” Miller said, calling it an “aggressive” move. The two men struggled on the floor just metres from where Miller was with Holder.

Moments later a second officer arrived to help Sandilands. They “dragged” Mannings to a cruiser and returned to collect his wheelchair, said Miller, who watched the events unfold as he continued to be the only one tending to Holder, who lay bleeding.

Suddenly, Miller said, he “felt someone very strong grab my arm that was on the wound and pull my legs.” Seconds later, he said, he was carted off to a cruiser by a third officer.

He said he sat in the car and watched Holder continue to bleed. No one else touched him until the paramedics arrived on the scene about two minutes later, he said.

Court has already heard testimony from the arresting officers. Sandilands testified he gently tipped over Mannings’ wheelchair because the accused was swearing and flailing his arms.

Another officer testified Miller was arrested because he was yelling in the officer’s face.

Crown attorney Darilynn Allison has finished her case, but the defence might call Mannings to the stand.

If found guilty of causing a disturbance, Mannings and Miller could face up to six months in jail.

The trial is scheduled to resume Monday at the courthouse in Brampton.

Eat crap before you see a doctor

A woman told a judge Tuesday her husband forced her to eat his faeces before he’d let her visit a doctor for treatment of a kidney infection.

Yeuzhu Liu Batori, 44, took the stand against her husband, Louis Batori, 60, of Blountville Tuesday afternoon.

Police arrested him Sept. 6 on charges of attempted rape, solicitation of incest, especially aggravated kidnapping and aggravated domestic assault.

The woman said during a probable-cause hearing that during her 1½-year marriage, she was more of a maid and sex slave than a wife.

The couple met in 2000 in China and married in January 2005.

The woman said that a few weeks ago, her husband asked her to have sex with a teenage boy.

“I told him I couldn’t do it,” she said.

She said that later that evening, he threatened her with a shotgun and said, “I’ll fix you good” if she didn’t perform a sex act the next day.

The next morning, the woman said, she walked to the nearest gas station and called police.

Judge Klyne Lauderback dismissed the aggravated domestic assault charge and sent the other three counts to a grand jury for consideration.

The judge released Batori on bond on the condition he not contact his wife or her family.

    What’s next?

No federal case after man tries to open jet door
    Filed under Others, Weird

Federal authorities have declined to prosecute a man who tried to open a cabin door during a United flight from Los Angeles to Washington Dulles on Tuesday night.

Flight 890 was about two hours from Dulles when the man walked to the rear of the plane and flipped up the handle on the rear cabin door.

Those doors cannot be opened when a plane is in flight, but that didn’t stop passengers from jumping onto and restraining the man.

“They roughed him up quite a bit,” a federal official told NBC News.

However, after an investigation by the FBI, prosecutors declined to file charges.

Federal agents said the man flipped the handle out of curiosity or boredom, not intending to cause any harm. “It was a stupid move. Something an 8-year-old kid would do,” an FBI official said.

    Boxer ’strutting his stuff’

The official said the man, who was wearing military fatigues and spoke Portuguese and little English, was apparently a boxer and was described as walking around the cabin during the flight, trying to attract attention by throwing punches into the air. “He was strutting his stuff,” the official said.

Even though federal authorities won’t prosecute, local prosecutors are considering some charges.

Ken Wolfenbarger, of Whittier, Calif., who was on the flight, told The Associated Press in a telephone interview that he helped subdue the unruly passenger. The man wore patches on his fatigues with special forces and jujitsu champion logos, Wolfenbarger said.

The man had been acting strangely for about 20 minutes, then sat up, wrapped belts around his hands and threw punches into the air, Wolfenbarger said.

Wolfenbarger said he heard a flight attendant yell for help and tell the man, “Sir, get your hand off the handle.”

“Any time you hear a flight attendant shout ‘please help,’ you worry that something pretty bad is going to happen,” he said.

    Passengers punch him

Wolfenbarger said the man was held down and punched by other passengers as he grabbed the man’s leg. Air marshals then came and took custody of the man.

The passenger became unruly about 3½ hours into the flight, said United spokeswoman Megan McCarthy.

“After the passenger was restrained, the pilot decided to land at Dulles,” McCarthy said. “It wasn’t an emergency landing.”

There were 138 passengers and six crew members on board, McCarthy said

I’m glad they ‘roughed him up’. They should have done more.

Slightly off-topic, but you know how the Turks ended any reoccurrance of plane hijackings? After they took control of the first one, they landed the plane and immediately escorted the hijacker to an awaiting helicopter. They then took the him up 2000 ft. and threw him out. They’ve never had any hijackings since. True story.

‘Electric Man’ gets electrocuted to death
    Filed under Others, Weird

A Vietnamese man who once appeared on national television to demonstrate his ability to resist electric shocks has been electrocuted while repairing a generator, an official said on Tuesday.

Nguyen Van Hung, aged in his early 40s, was killed in Tay Ninh province near the Cambodian border while repairing the generator without first cutting the power supply, a local official said.

“When alive, he used to demonstrate at our office how he would insert two fingers into the electrical plughole without problems,” the official said.

Hung, nicknamed “Hung Electric,” had appeared on television’s “Strange Stories of Vietnam.”

    Let’s stop cursing ourselves.

    Limited Internet Access

You have all probably noticed super slow updates lately - I currently have very limited Internet access (until the end of the month) so won’t be able to update as frequently. When I do get access, I’m also on a tight schedule so won’t be able to post anything too worthy.

Either way, thanks for visiting and keep an eye open for hot posts to come :)

Communist signs are not a problem

    Protected Trees in China

I spent the day in China yesterday and came across the above sign. It’s amazing how today’s rules can so easily be interpreted and followed, and how our fellow Chinaman doesn’t have a problem with Communism… He doesn’t even understand half the things the government is trying to ’suppress’ and ‘control’.

Anyone want to take a wild guess as to what the sign means? From what the little icon shows, it looks like “No taking a dump on the grass and gripping onto nearby plants for support“.

Teen gets 53 years for killing girls interested in her boyfriend(s)

I would have freaked and simply arrested her for looking like she does. She probably caused several heart attacks anyway.

    Sarah Kolb

A teenager was sentenced to 53 years in prison for killing a new schoolmate who showed interest in boys she had dated.

Judge James Teros called the killing “a murder over nothing.”

Sarah Kolb, 18, had been convicted in February of first-degree murder and concealing a homicide in the death last year of Adrianne Reynolds, 16. Kolb’s ex-boyfriend pleaded guilty to the same charges.

Kolb read a statement to the judge after witnesses testified that she was a good friend and student who endured a tough upbringing that included being locked in her room as punishment and being harassed because of her bisexuality.

Kolb said such experiences left her numb, unable to experience emotion.

“I was so good at not feeling that I felt no feeling as she died,” Kolb said.

Prosecutors said Kolb and Cory Gregory killed Reynolds in Kolb’s car over their school lunch hour, then took the body to Kolb’s grandparents’ farm and burned it.

The pair returned two days later with a third teen and sawed the body into pieces, dumping some remains on the farm and burying the rest in a state park, according to prosecutors.

Defense attorney David Hoffman sought the minimum 20-year sentence, saying Kolb was just 16 at the time of the killing and not mature enough to make sound decisions.

Gregory is seeking to withdraw his guilty plea and stand trial after being sentenced in July to the maximum 45 years in prison allowed under a plea agreement. Gregory, 18, is scheduled to appear in court September 21.

The third teen pleaded guilty last year to concealing a homicide and was sentenced to an indeterminate time in a juvenile detention center.

Anyway, apologies for the lack of updates; I’ve been extrememly busy lately!
